The following guidelines outline the spirit of our reimbursement process, but they are not hard and fast rules. Each request will be reviewed individually by the Funding and Finance Circle. Depending on the circumstances, requests that extend beyond these guidelines may still be approved.
For IDN members travelling to regional conferences or assemblies with topics related to degrowth who would like to receive financial support, the IDN is offering to cover up to 50% of *either* their accommodation *or* of their travel costs.
It would be great if reimbursement requests were kept to 500€ or less, so that we may distribute our support to conference-goers as widely as possible.
Flying restrictions: The IDN would rather not reimburse intra-continental flights under 1500km, as short flights are among the highest-impacting forms of travel. In the case of inter-continental flights over 1500km, the IDN offers to reimburse 25% of the ticket.
Funding requests will be reviewed on a first-come first-serve basis, and if there are more requests than funding available, preference will be given to supporting allies and comrades from the global south and/or low resources ones.Information needed in order to process the reimbursement request, to be sent to info@degrowth.network with copy to current Bookkeeper: lily.edelmangold@pm.me
- Name of the person making the request (Individual and their Circle)
